Park Walker Initiative for Older Adults
Move safely. Stay connected. Age actively.

Walk together. Stay connected.
The Park Walker Initiative for Older Adults is a Jamaica Moves programme designed to encourage older Jamaicans to remain physically active, socially connected and mentally engaged through organised walking and wellness activities in safe, accessible public spaces.
Launched in 2026, the initiative brings together walking, health education, screening, stretching, dance and other senior-friendly activities. It also aims to support sustainable walking groups and stronger community-based networks for healthy ageing.
Who is it for?
The initiative is designed for older adults, including people who may be returning to activity after a long period of inactivity. Activities should be inclusive, non-competitive and adaptable to ability.
