HPE is a Ministry of Health & Wellness unit that provides strategic direction and technical guidance for health-promotion and education initiatives. Its work includes programmes, public education, behaviour-change support, capacity building and health promotion in settings such as communities, schools, workplaces and health facilities.
Jamaica Moves is the Ministry's flagship healthy-lifestyle programme. It promotes regular physical activity, healthier eating and routine or age-appropriate health checks through schools, workplaces, communities, campaigns and partnerships.
Use the Workplace Wellness page to access tools, current registration opportunities and the request-support form. If a Corporate Wellness Challenge is open, check the current campaign page for participation details.
Schools can use the Jamaica Moves in Schools page to access planning resources, School Moves Day information and current programme contacts or registration links.
Use the Resource Library and filter by audience, topic or resource type.
HPE and partner programmes may support screening activities, but availability varies. Use the event calendar or Know Your Numbers information to find approved opportunities. Screening results that require follow-up should be discussed with a health professional.
